Anganwadi Feeding
Providing nutritious meals to children aged 3-6 years and pregnant/lactating mothers at Anganwadi centers to combat early childhood malnutrition.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is the world's largest NGO-run school meal program, serving wholesome midday meals to over 2 million children across 14,800+ schools in India every single day.
Founded in 2000, The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a non-profit organization headquartered in Bengaluru, India. Our vision is simple yet profound: "No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger."
We work as a implementing partner of the Government of India's PM Poshan (formerly Mid-Day Meal Scheme) and various State Governments. Our mission is to reach 5 million children by 2025 through hot, nutritious meals served in government and government-aided schools.
Our state-of-the-art centralized kitchens—some of the largest in the world—employ innovative technology and processes to ensure hygiene, nutritional adequacy, and scalability. Each meal is designed by nutritionists to provide at least one-third of the daily recommended dietary allowance for children.

Our impact extends beyond the classroom. By sourcing food grains locally (wherever possible) and employing women from the community, we create a virtuous cycle of development. We adhere to the highest standards of financial transparency and governance, as evidenced by our consistent top ratings from CRISIL, GuideStar India, and the Charities Aid Foundation.
Beyond the midday meal, we run several initiatives to address holistic child development and community welfare.
